Thousand Flee War Zone in Sri Lanka

Under fire from the Tamil Tigers, over two thousand civilians waded across a lagoon in Sri Lanka to escape the war zone. At least 4 civilians have been killed and 14 have been wounded. The map shows the war zone, located on a thin strip of land between the lagoon and the ocean.
